Traditionally, Lent is a time for fasting, prayer, and reflection as a way to examine oneself, come to God in repentance, and receive the mercies of God that Jesus gained for us on the cross. Jesus’ journey to the cross and His suffering on the cross was one of deep, passionate prayer. This Lent, we seek to make His prayers our prayers as we follow Him and take time to pray as He did.
