High School Mission Trip

We’re headed to Nashville! On June 22-29th, we are partnering with YouthWorks which has done an excellent job the last several years with managing the plans, service, and programming for our mission trips while we’re on site. YouthWorks does an excellent job of helping students connect with the city that they’re serving.

I anticipate our students engaging in diverse service activities within the city of Nashville such as participation in VBS-type programs, supporting food pantries, volunteering at soup kitchens, outdoor service projects for homes, and similar opportunities.

During our free evenings, we’ll get the chance to discover downtown Nashville, explore attractions like the Parthenon, and immerse ourselves in the distinctive culture, music, and cuisine of the city. In addition to these options, we’ll seek out extra group activities either en route to or returning from the Nashville area.

I anticipate each student’s family contributing $250 to support the trip’s expenses. The remaining funds will be covered by the church budget and through fundraising efforts like the chili cookoff. A $50 deposit is required by February 15th. Financial assistance is available for those who need it.
