John writes toward the end of His Gospel, “Now Jesus did many other signs…which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20:30-31). John shares with us some wonderful stories of miracles (signs to point to Jesus being the Son of God), many of which are unique to his writing. The Epiphany season which we are celebrating is a time to focus on the works of Jesus that revealed this truth. The signs and works are many, but the purpose of them is the same, for us to believe Jesus and live in that belief.
