John’s Gospel gives us some of the best understanding of what it means to be stewards or managers of all God has given us. Even what Jesus himself possesses has been given to Him by His Father in heaven, entrusted to Him to accomplish His Kingdom purposes. As we begin a new year, we are reminded that God has given to us as He gave to His own Son. Ours is an abundance, grace upon grace, but it is given to us for Heavenly purposes.
